TRAININGS

The Forest as Teacher: A Path to Reconnection and Discovery

The forest is a place of quiet wisdom, where the rhythms of the earth and the murmurs of the wind weave a language of their own. To step into its embrace is to slow down, to listen, to remember. It offers more than refuge—it invites a deeper way of being, one shaped by presence and attunement to the living world.

For years, Karen Decker has guided schoolteachers through three-hour training sessions, in collaboration with the City of Luxembourg, offering pathways to integrate nature into education. Now, this offering expands: from half-day to full-day sessions (3 to 8 hours), these experiences are open to health professionals, educators, and all those whose work is intertwined with the forest’s quiet teachings.

Drawing from the Native American view of nature as a circle, where every being has its place, and the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, the art of forest bathing, these trainings are crafted as immersive and adaptable experiences. They open spaces for reflection, exploration, and a renewed connection with the land—whether to enrich teaching, support well-being, or deepen one’s own bond with the natural world.

Each journey is unique, shaped in harmony with the needs and intentions of those who step forward. Here, learning is not a lesson to be absorbed but an experience to be lived, where the forest itself becomes the guide.

Step in, slow down, and let the forest meet you where you are.
